Toronto Biltong was founded by JP Meyer, who was born and raised on a farm in South Africa alongside his three brothers. After moving to Canada, working on an organic grain farm in Saskatchewan and eventually making Toronto home, JP wanted to share a food that had always been part of his life: biltong.

Rooted in South African tradition, Toronto Biltong brings Canadians tender, flavourful beef made using time-honoured air-drying methods. Each product is chosen with a focus on quality, great taste and satisfying protein—offering a wholesome alternative to conventional meat snacks.

Today, Toronto Biltong is a Toronto-based, family-run business inspired by JP’s heritage and his belief that more Canadians should experience what proper biltong is all about.
